Test and Academic Programs

Katie's Kids Yoga offers a Test  and academic Prep Program for kids in Elementary, Middle School and  High School and from ages 5 to 18. We also provide programs for college aged kids.  We will provide valuable tools to incorporate and use in their daily lives. We Also provide private sessions for children, tweens, teens and families. Yoga is becoming one of the most popular complimentary health and wellness practices with over 17 million children, tweens, and teens, practicing. Practicing awareness and relaxation; our thoughts tune into what we are "thinking" in the present moment, and not on the past or future. 

In these Programs, students will explore facets of relaxation in each session. Each session  will focus on cultivating the foundation of awareness, intention, attention, relaxation, and attitude, without judging themselves, their thoughts, or their feelings. Children will learn to cultivate kindness, gratitude, and compassion towards themselves and others, as well as learn how to handle and manage difficult emotions. Each class will be customized to meet the needs of the individual and setting. 

We will teach  tools and strategies to help kids get through up coming tests. You will learn breathing exercises, yoga poses, movements, ways to re-frame your thinking, yoga games, and mindfulness activities. These techniques will help ease anxiety and nervousness, as well as increase focus, attention span,  concentration, and energy levels. We will also provide relaxation techniques to use prior to bed time to encourage restful sleep. 

We will show you how to help guide students into a successful state of academic confidence that they can use in their lives. We will teach different techniques through CBT techniques, mindfulness, meditation, yoga, and relaxation strategies. 

 

Our test prep workshops can be done in schools, in-home private one-on-one sessions, and in small group settings.
Our curriculum is easy to follow and customized to meet your needs.

Techniques can be used at any time during the day or night.
